About Us
Oentoeng Suria & Partners (Ashurst OSP) was established in 2010 and focuses on providing legal services at the highest global standards to our clients.
Ashurst OSP is associated with global law firm Ashurst and is a continuation of the long- standing presence in Indonesia of Ashurst’s Australian practice (formerly Blake Dawson), which was previously through Soebagjo Jatim Djarot (SJD). Ashurst OSP is one of Indonesia’s main commercial law firms, thanks to the legacy of the SJD-Ashurst relationship. Our deep understanding of the Indonesian legal, commercial, and cultural environment allows us to offer technical and practical advice to help our clients achieve their objectives in Indonesia. We take pride in our ability to manage high-profile projects and resolve complex cross-border transactions, and we are able to mobilise lawyers and experts from other Ashurst offices, as and when needed.
Ashurst OSP’s partners are prominent in Indonesian business and academic circles, as well as in Asia Pacific business and legal associations. They are regularly involved in law reform programs and other government legal committees, including recent projects to draft new laws on commodity futures regulation, commercial arbitration, shipping regulation, and amendments to Indonesia’s companies and foreign investment laws. All lawyers at Ashurst OSP are fluent in English as well as Indonesian.
